Romain has always been curious about combining disciplines and building bridges between people. When he was studying for his Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, he took his first contemporary dance classes to pursue his passion for movement. In parallel to a 20+ year career as project manager in private and public institutions active in the funding of European Research and Innovation, Romain has continuously explored how movement can teach us more about ourselves. He has performed his own contemporary dance choreographies on stage and trained as a bodymind therapist. By mixing his experiences, he has developed his own movement-based facilitation approach that he had the opportunity to share in different environments such as art schools (in particular the Royal College of Art, London), design thinking workshops (notably in the context of IdeaSquare@CERN, Geneva) and business schools for groups of up to 300 participants. This Guidebook is the result of Romain’s wish to bring the potential of movement-based facilitation practices into the corporate world at a larger scale.
